Portmund Logistics

Software Studio

We build the software a business
runs on, not the software
it merely owns.

Mobile applications, websites, and the internal systems that sit behind them: CRM, staff tooling, customer portals. Scoped in writing, built in milestones, handed over with the keys and the documentation.

Engagement
Fixed scope, agreed before work starts
Delivery
Milestones with a review at each one
Ownership
Your code, your accounts, your data

01  /  Capabilities

Three kinds of build, one team

Most of our work falls into one of these. The interesting projects usually touch all three, which is the reason we keep them under one roof rather than handing you between agencies.

I

Mobile applications

Applications your customers install, or that your field staff use to do the job. Built once for both iOS and Android, with the release process, store listings and update pipeline set up so shipping a change later is routine rather than an event.

  • iOS and Android
  • Offline-tolerant
  • Push notifications
  • Store submission
  • Over-the-air updates
II

Websites and web platforms

From a considered marketing site through to a full customer-facing platform with accounts, payments and a content system your team can actually operate. Fast, accessible, and built so search engines and screen readers both make sense of it.

  • Marketing sites
  • E-commerce
  • Customer accounts
  • Payments
  • Content management
  • Analytics
III

Internal systems

The part nobody sees and everybody depends on. A CRM shaped around how your people actually sell and support, a portal your customers log into, dashboards for the numbers you check every morning, and the integrations that stop the same record being typed in twice.

  • CRM
  • Staff portals
  • Customer portals
  • Dashboards and reporting
  • API integrations
  • Workflow automation

02  /  Method

No surprises on scope, cost or date

Every stage ends with something written down that you can hold us to. If a stage changes the picture, we say so then, not at handover.

01

Brief

You describe the problem, not the solution. We ask the awkward questions early: who uses it, what happens today, what breaks when it is busy, and what counts as finished.

02

Specification

A written scope with screens, data, integrations, assumptions and the things deliberately left out. It carries a fixed price and a date. Nothing is built until you approve it.

03

Build

Delivered in milestones you can log into and use. You see working software at each review rather than a status report about it.

04

Handover

Deployment, documentation and a training session with the people who will run it. Accounts and source are in your name from the start, so leaving us is always possible. That is the point.

03  /  Engagements

Three ways to start

Which one fits depends on how settled the problem is. If you are not sure, start with the first and decide afterwards.

Discovery

Before you commit

A short, paid piece of work that turns a rough intention into a specification you could hand to anyone, including someone other than us.

  • Stakeholder interviews
  • Process and systems review
  • Written specification
  • Fixed price for the build

Project

A defined build

A scoped application, site or system delivered against the specification, in milestones, for a price agreed before anyone writes a line of code.

  • Fixed scope and price
  • Milestone reviews
  • Deployment and handover
  • Post-launch support window

Retained

Once it is live

An ongoing arrangement for the systems that keep moving: changes, updates, monitoring and a person who already knows how it was built.

  • Agreed monthly hours
  • Security and platform updates
  • Monitoring and response
  • Priority access

Tell us what is not working.

Send a few lines about the problem, who it affects and roughly when it needs solving. You will get a considered reply from someone who has read it, with questions or a proposal, within two working days.
